The team of internationally recognized trademark lawyers at Kaulo & Partners is growing with the addition of Anne Nyström, who was recently awarded the recognition of "Practitioner of the Year 2024" in the trademark field.

Anne Nyström brings extensive experience in protecting, defending, and commercializing brand rights. During her legal career, she has successfully handled demanding assignments for startups, SMEs, and large corporations, involving trademark registration, opposition, appeal, and cancellation processes, as well as disputes, copyright, design rights, various commercial agreements, marketing law, influencer marketing, and unfair business practices.

Anne also has practical experience particularly in handling domain name disputes. She serves as an expert member of ECTA's Internet Committee, where she contributes to developing trademark legislation and practices to protect trademarks, especially in online marketplaces and social media.

Before joining Kaulo & Partners, Anne worked as an IP Lawyer and Associate Partner at a traditional IP expert firm. Prior to that, she was an entrepreneur and co-founding partner at a law firm specializing in corporate and IP law.

"It's great to have an entrepreneurial and versatile expert like Anne in the Kaulo & Partners team. She understands the business perspective of clients, is service-oriented, and is used to handling demanding assignments on a tight schedule. We are now even better able to serve both our existing and new clients in the systematic and strategic management of brand right portfolios, growing brand value, and preventing business risks through contracts. As Finland's leading law firm specializing in brand rights, we need the best talents in the field who understand a comprehensive and proactive way of managing client relationships," comments our Managing Partner Jani Kaulo.

Anne has been excited to discover that she shares a similar vision of client work with the founding team of Kaulo & Partners.

"Kaulo & Partners' service model of managing clients’ brand assets comprehensively and proactively on a partnership basis is a highly appealing way for me to handle assignments related to brand rights and contracts. It is important for me to understand the client's business well. I look forward to getting to know new growing brands and helping with the international protection, enforcement, and utilization of brand rights," says Anne Nyström.
